<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watch capable of reducing power consumption by efficiently acquiring leap second information and displaying a precise time. <P>SOLUTION: A wrist watch 1 with a GPS comprises: a satellite signal reception section 10A which receives a satellite signal; a power source provided with a solar panel 70 and a secondary battery 60; a time information correction section 25 to clock a time; reception timing determination means 24 which receives the satellite signal by activating the satellite signal reception section 10A and acquires leap second information included in the satellite signal; and reception operation determination means 23 which measures a remaining amount of the secondary battery. The reception timing determination means 24, when the remaining amount of the battery measured by the reception operation determination means 23 is equal to or larger than a predetermined value, increases reception frequency to receive the satellite signal higher than the reception frequency when the remaining amount is lower than the predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
