<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a possible defect which may occur in the printing of an electronic document on a medium, before printing. <P>SOLUTION: In an image quality item extracting part 21 for extracting an image quality item from print instruction data to instruct printing on the basis of document data, a color value distribution information generating part 81 generates color value distribution information indicating a distribution of a color value for each object category on the basis of information on the color value of the image quality item extracted together with the image quality item. A risk analysis part 83 analyzes a process K risk where reproduction fails with K 100% or only K, a reproduction failure risk where colors cannot be reproduced in extreme highlight part, extreme shadow part and extreme gray part, and a color thin line risk where a half tone line is represented as a dotted line. An analysis result output part 85 outputs a result of risk analysis. A correction content deciding part 86 decides how to correct the document data and print instruction data for printing according to the result of risk analysis.
