<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency and uniformity by a cooling roll. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling device includes at least one cooling roll 1 rotating while contacting with a material 10 to be cooled moving in a plate passing direction. The cooling roll 1 includes: a refrigerant supply path 4 and a refrigerant discharge path 5 arranged inside the cooling roll 1; a plurality of protrusions 30 formed on a roll peripheral surface 2 of the cooling roll 1; blowoff holes 31 formed on the roll peripheral surface 2 and blowing off a refrigerant 3 supplied through the refrigerant supply path 4 to gaps 33 between the plurality of the protrusions 30; and discharge holes 32 formed on the roll peripheral surface 2 and discharging the refrigerant 3 existing in the gaps 33 in the plurality of the protrusions 30 and the steam thereof to the refrigerant discharge path 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
