摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load of centrifugal action applied on a bridge portion between a pair of permanent magnet storage portions for storing a pair of adjacent permanent magnets of the same pole. <P>SOLUTION: Cavities 20A and 20B opening on an outer peripheral surface 162 of a rotor core 16, are formed by cavity forming outer surfaces 201A and 201B, and cavity forming inner surfaces 202A and 202B. The cavity forming outer surfaces 201A and 201B have positions Pa1 and Pb1 on the outer peripheral surface 162 of the rotor core 16 as start points, and intersecting positions Pa2 and Pb2 between magnetic pole side opposite surfaces 191A and 191B opposing to magnetic pole surfaces 170A and 170B of permanent magnets 17A and 17B and virtual extension surfaces of positioning surfaces 193A and 193B, as terminal points. The start points Pa1 and Pb1 are positioned between intersection points Qa and Qb of a virtual annular line E partially included in the outer peripheral surface 162 and virtual extension surfaces 23A and 23B of the magnetic pole side opposite surfaces 191A and 191B, and a d-axis.
