PURPOSE: A document name management device and a method thereof are provided to enable a user not to store a file according to a document classification system or a designated rule thereby enabling the user to automatically change a name of the corresponding document file. CONSTITUTION: An event confirming unit(120) hooks a generated storage attempt event about a document file. A name guide unit(150) provides a name guide screen guiding a file name generating rule to a user of a client terminal so that a name about the document file is changed corresponding to a designated file name generating rule.
