摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for creating dot data used for printing. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: a dot data creation part for comparing a correction gradation value obtained by correcting a gradation value of each pixel contained in image data by a diffusion error from an adjacent processed pixel with a determination value, applying an error diffusion method for diffusing an error from the gradation value generated according to formation of dots when formation of the dots is determined by comparison, and creating dot data indicating existence of the dot formation; and a determination value adjusting part for comparing a threshold of a dither mask and the gradation value of the pixel before comparing the correction gradation value and the determination value of each pixel, and adjusting the determination value at predetermined width so that the determination value applied when the gradation value of the pixel exceeds a threshold does not exceed the determination value applied when the gradation value of the pixel is not more than the threshold. The determination value adjusting part compares adjustment width of the determination value used for determining the dot formation with a pixel other than an edge pixel, and reduces it, in a case of an edge pixel, in which a difference of the gradation value between the pixel and the adjacent pixel is not less than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
