OBSERVATION METHOD FOR MICROSTRUCTURE OF POLYMERIC MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation method for a microstructure of a polymeric material capable of analyzing a phase separation structure, a lamellar structure and an oriented state of a crystal of the polymeric material by a scanning electron microscope.

SOLUTION: An observation method for a microstructure of a polymeric material of the present invention comprises: a step A of forming the polymeric material into a predetermined size and making the same a specimen for observation; a step B of wrapping the specimen with transparent liquid resin; a step C of polishing the transparent resin and the specimen by a cross section polisher and figuring an observation surface of the specimen after the transparent resin is cured; a step D of forming a conductive film on the figured observation surface; and a step E of observing the observation surface where the conductive film is formed, by a scanning electron microscope.
