<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can be manufactured in low costs and by a simple process, and a manufacturing method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 1 has a structure in which a gate electrode 14 is provided via a gate insulation film 13 in a selective region (a channel region 12A) on a semiconductor layer 12 composed of an oxide semiconductor, and a source and drain electrode layer 16 electrically connected to a region (a source and drain connection region 12B) adjacent to the channel region 12A. In the semiconductor layer 12, a region (a pixel electrode part 12C) different from the channel region 12A and source and drain connection region 12B is utilized as an anode.
