<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stack demolition method with which a multi-leg aggregate stack can be demolished easily, safely and economically relative to conventional demolition engineering employing a climbing crane. <P>SOLUTION: A demolition method of a multi-leg aggregate stack includes following steps from (a) to (f). A smoke collection section of the aggregate stack is cut into small pieces, the small pieces are dropped into the aggregate stack, and the smoke collection section is demolished (a). A mast is constructed over a full length of the aggregate stack on foundation in a center part of the aggregate stack (b). In an upper portion of the mast, a vertically movable scaffold vertically movable along the mast is installed to surround the aggregate stack (c). The vertically movable scaffold is used to cut an upper part of the aggregate stack of which the smoke collection section has been demolished, into small pieces, the small pieces are dropped into the aggregate stack, and the upper part of the aggregate stack is demolished (d). The vertically movable scaffold is moved down by one stage and similarly to the step (d), an upper part of the aggregate stack is demolished (e).
