<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master handle portion of a vacuum cleaner capable of providing an light operational feeling of a suction port body regardless of the conditions of a place to be cleaned thereby, and the vacuum cleaner including the handy handle. <P>SOLUTION: In the master handle portion 300 including a connection tube portion 301 and a grip portion 302, the grip portion 302 is formed to rise from the front end of the connection tube portion, and has an annular appearance constituted by: a grip front part 302a forming a front part of the grip portion; a grip 302b of rod form which forms the rear part of the grip portion 302 and is curved rearward from the rear end of the grip front part 302a; and a connection portion 305 which connects the rear end of the grip 302b and the connection tube portion 301.
