<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face containment method for exhausting polluted air while inhibiting the polluted air generated near a face during constructing a tunnel from spreading into the whole tunnel. <P>SOLUTION: The face containment method for preventing the spread of polluted air during constructing the tunnel where an exhaust pipe is installed comprises the steps of: forming a partition wall in a predetermined range from the ceiling wall face and the inner wall side face of the tunnel; providing one end of the exhaust pipe on the further face side than the partition wall; and using the exhaust pipe for collecting the polluted air from a space between the partition wall and the face, whereby causing air to flow from the pit mouth side to the face side to prevent the spread of the polluted air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
