<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and effectively prevent the misuse of a script in pull-scanning it. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus comprises: reading means for reading image data of a script put on a platen; communication means for communicating with external devices; starting means for receiving a start instruction transmitted from the external devices via the communication means and starting the reading means; displaying means for displaying a screen; first screen displaying means for displaying a first screen on the displaying means before starting the reading means; second screen displaying means for displaying a second screen on the displaying means after the image data is read by the reading means; start-instruction receiving means for allowing the starting means to receive the start-instruction while the first screen is displayed; and prohibiting means for prohibiting a process involving screen transition and having no relation with reading process of the image data while the first screen is displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
