<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for writing utensil which can prevent a back flow of ink and a leakage from a pen point from occurring with the drying of the ink, when the cap for writing utensil is fitted into a writing barrel by screwing the cap into the former. <P>SOLUTION: This cap for writing utensil is constituted of an outer cap 11, an inner cap 13, an elastic holder 22 and a spring 21. In addition, the inner cap 13 is held in a freely tip to rear movable manner, inside the outer cap 11, and also, in a freely rotatable manner in the inner circumferential surface direction of the outer cap 11. Further, the spring 21 is gripped in a freely stretchable manner by the inner cap 13. Consequently, the inner cap 13 comes into contact with and adheres to the writing barrel, and then, advances rotating in the inner circumferential direction of the outer cap 11, while keeping the adhering state of the inner cap 13 with the writing barrel, The inner cap 13 securely closes the pen point in a space inside the inner cap 13, thus preventing the ink from vaporizing and drying.
