<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of noise components on an image available by photographing with long time exposure. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging element containing a first photoelectric conversion part for acquiring a first signal electric charge serving as the source of an image signal and a second photoelectric conversion part for acquiring a second signal electric charge used for evaluating brightness information; first control means which causes the second photoelectric conversion part to repeat acquisition of the second signal electric charge when the first photoelectric conversion part acquires the first signal electric charge, for outputting the acquired each of the second signal electric charges from the imaging element as an evaluation signal; evaluation means which evaluates brightness information by adding the evaluation signals outputted repeatedly from the imaging element together, and then determining whether or not the value of the added evaluation signals has reached a preset threshold value; and second control means which, when the value of the evaluation signals added together by the evaluation means is determined to have reached the preset threshold value, outputs the first signal electric charge acquired by the first photoelectric conversion part from the imaging element as the image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
