<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system each for measuring a body shape which enable rapid and efficient measurement of the body shape and efficient design planning of a garment. <P>SOLUTION: The method for measuring a body shape includes: a reference point-determining step where a plurality of specific positions on the body surface based on systematic anatomy is decided as reference points; an intermediate point-determining step where a plurality of intermediate points for evenly dividing the distance dimension between the reference points along a direction of a middle line and a waist line are determined; a grid-like compartment-forming step where a plurality of grid-like compartments formed of the reference points and/or the intermediate points are formed; a reference posture-measuring step where the length of the side part of the grid-like compartment is measured in every grid-like compartment in the reference posture; a motion posture-measuring step where the length in a plurality of figurations changed in balance from the reference posture to the plurality of the figurations is measured; and a stretching ratio-calculating step where the stretching ratio of the skin on the body surface is calculated in each of the grid-like compartments based on the measurement result in the reference posture-measuring step after comparing both of the measurement results with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
