<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road lighting system capable of reducing wasteful use of electric energy more than a conventional system. <P>SOLUTION: A lighting apparatus 5 (A1-A6) provided with a plurality of LED lamps and a master computer 4b are connected by a communication line 7. The master computer 4b sets a lighting control ratio for each LED lamp along an entrance part lighting curve of a tunnel based on an outside brightness measured by an optical sensor 3, and transmits the lighting control ratio to each lighting apparatus 5.
