<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system for inhibiting a release of a regulation state for regulating shift position switching due to a wrong operation, and reducing a risk of a damage in a charging cable, an external power supply or a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A current detecting circuit 28 detects a current flowing between a charging stand 18 and a driving battery 23. If the current is detected by the current detecting circuit 28, a power management ECU 12 causes a shift lock solenoid 44 connected to a shift lock ECU 13 to be in a regulation state.
