<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink mist from floating in a device without discharging the ink mist to the outside from an opening as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 includes an openable/closable front cover 8 on the front surface of the printer. A jam handling opening 2a is exposed by opening the front cover 8, and a hand can be inserted into the printer through an access path k. A surrounding part 11a is arranged to surround the access path k. The surrounding part 11a is arranged in an ink mist floating area, and ribs 11e are formed on an inside wall surface.
