<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object recognition device that improves accuracy in recognizing an object. <P>SOLUTION: An object recognition device 10 includes: a reliability setting part 3 for setting object presence reliability showing the reliability of whether an object exists in an area around a vehicle itself; and a grouping part 7 for grouping reflection points based of the object presence reliability for an area between reflection points. Therefore, if the object presence reliability is low for the area between a reflection point of one object and that of another object, the reflection points of the two objects can be grouped into not one group but different groups, even if, for example, the two objects are close to each other. As a result, a plurality of objects can be prevented from being recognized as one object, and thereby the recognition accuracy of objects is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
