<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning system managing and controlling a plurality of air conditioning groups by easily taking over the setting of the air conditioning group of the previous indoor unit in replacing the indoor unit. <P>SOLUTION: A setting CPU 71 of a remote controller 50 implements automatic address processing for automatically assigning a remote controller unit number to the indoor unit. A remote controller memory 72 stores the air conditioning group received from a user in accordance with the remote controller unit number. Indoor memories 21b, 22b, ... store self-remote controller unit numbers. The setting CPU 71 manages and controls the indoor unit of each group while confirming the remote controller unit numbers of the indoor memories 21 b, 22b.
