<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pendulum type railway vehicle capable of reducing contact pressure of a contact part between a roller and a roller receiver to prolong service life of both the components, and suppressing lateral oscillation when stopping the rail vehicle and during straight traveling to suppress deterioration of the ride quality. <P>SOLUTION: The railway vehicle has a truck and a railway vehicle body disposed on the truck. The railway vehicle is capable of performing pendulum motion, between the truck and the railway vehicle body, through a pendulum mechanism including a cylindrical roller 140 and a roller receiver 130 in rolling-contact with the roller 140. A contact part 122 in contact with the roller in the central part of a width direction 500 of the roller receiver 130 includes a recessed curved surface (recessed arcuate surface) 124 having a radius corresponding to the radius (R1) of the roller 140. Because of surface contact in the contact part 122, contact pressure is reduced, service life of both the components 130 and 140 are prolonged, and lateral oscillation when stopping the railway vehicle and during straight traveling is suppressed, thereby suppressing the deterioration in the ride quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
