<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FGB vibration sensor that is downsized while achieving temperature compensations during vibration measurement. <P>SOLUTION: An FGB vibration sensor 1 is provided with a leaf spring 2 whose fixed end 2b is fixed to a vibrating object W, toward whose free end 2c a weight 4 is disposed. The leaf spring 2 is elastically deformed in synchronism with vibration of the vibrating object W. An optical fiber 3 in which an FBG 5 is formed is fixed onto the upper surface 2a of the leaf spring 2 with a pair of adhesive pieces 7a and 7b with the FBG 5 in-between, and pretension F is working on the FBG 5. The vibration of the vibrating object W is measured on the basis of distortion occurring on the FBG 5 correspondingly to the elastic deformation of the leaf spring 2. Further, the leaf spring 2 has the same thermal expansion coefficient as the thermal expansion coefficient of the optical fiber 3, and the pretension F working on the FBG 5 is kept constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
