<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gold bar management device, a gold bar management method, and a cash drawer, capable of reducing the number of sensors. <P>SOLUTION: A gold bar management device 1 related to this invention comprises a magnetic sensor 11, a feature determination part 12, and a denomination determination part 13. The magnetic sensor 11 is provided on at least one of both ends of a hopper corresponding to a longitudinal direction of a gold bar. The feature determination part 12 determines whether or not a hole is opened on coins constituting the gold bar housed in the hopper on the basis of a detection result of the magnetic sensor 11, and also determines whether or not a material of the gold bar is a material of a prescribed denomination.
