PURPOSE: An optical film and sheet are provided to restrain change of phase difference due to external force, and to improve optical uniformity. CONSTITUTION: An optical film(1) comprises a cycloolefin copolymer as a main ingredient. The optical film has a photoelastic coefficient of 10×10^(-12) /Pa or less, an average thickness of 10-500 micron, and a retardation value(Re) of 50 nm or less. The optical sheet comprises a transparent conductive layer on at least one side of the optical film. The optical sheet comprises a hard coat layer on at least one side of the optical film and/or a light-diffusing layer on at least one side of the optical film.
