<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a processing layer that can form the processing layer with a uniform density distribution, and to provide an optical article. <P>SOLUTION: A method of forming a bar code layer includes: a coating process of dropping each of composition liquids, forming a processing liquid body, on a surface of a base material by a sequential inkjet system; and a processing layer forming process of forming the processing layer by baking the composition liquids dropped on the surface of the base material after the coating process.
