METHOD FOR INSTALLING CATENARY SUPPORT TROLLEY ROPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a catenary trolley from skewing when the catenary trolley laterally moves while outer ropes can be safely exchanged at the fixed stair landings of a boom rear end and a girder front end.

SOLUTION: One end of an inner rope 8 mounted at the center of a main trolley 2 is fastened to a girder 5 via the sheave 13 on a catenary trolley 3 on the land side. The other inner rope 8 is also mounted down the girder 5 via the sheave 19 on a catenary trolley 4 on the sea side. In addition, outer ropes 7 and 17 are respectively disposed on both sides of the inner rope 8. One end of each of the outer ropes 7 and 17 is wound around the end sheave 12 at the end on the boom sea side and around the sheave 22 on the catenary trolley 4 on the sea side to be fastened 23 to the end on the sea side of the boom 6. The other end of each of the outer ropes 7 and 17 is wound around the end sheave 11 at the end on the land side of the girder 5 and around the sheave 24 on the catenary trolley 3 on the land side to be fastened 25 to the end on the land side of the girder 5.
