FIRE-EXTINGUISHING DEVICE

Novelty: Fire-fighting device based on the use of strong high-velocity air current acting as a fire-extinguishing means. Constitution: A device comprising the fun (15) composed of the framework (5) bearing the moving parts (the motor 6, 21 and the propeller 7) and a funnel (8) guiding the air flow to the desired homoaxial direction in respect to the propeller (7) the cross section of which gets reduced from the input to the output thereof for speeding up the flow of air; fixing means (2,25) are provided to enable the portable use of the invented fire-extinguishing device (device 1); piping with nozzles (9) for spraying water or other liquid fire-extinguishing material into the funnel (8). Dispersed by strong current of air, the above-mentioned liquid fire-extinguishing material creates a nebula of droplets destined to be launched against fire. Embodiment: Application in flying means (hanging from helicopters) (device 50) and in automotive or towed vehicles (device 20) as well.
