<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote conference apparatus capable of adjusting a microphone to the optimum position according to an output level of a speaker for sufficiently exhibiting an echo canceling function. <P>SOLUTION: A conference terminal 3 has a fixed speaker 350 and an external microphone 370 capable of adjusting the installation position, and can remove an echo from sound collected by the external microphone 370 with an echo canceler 347. A recommended position specified for an output level of the speaker 350 is displayed on a display 319 when the output level is set. By installing the external microphone 370 at the recommended position displayed on the display 319, the volume of the sound from the speaker 350 collected by the external microphone 370 becomes equal to or lower than an operation reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
