<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a chip area by making a peripheral circuit region be in a shaped form. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor device has: a memory cell region 40 where a plurality of data buses DB extending in a Y direction are arranged in an X direction at a pitch P1; and a buffer region 61 where a plurality of buffer circuits BC connected with the plurality of corresponding data buses DB respectively are provided. On the buffer region 61, the plurality of data buses DB extending in the Y direction are arranged in the X direction at a pitch P2. The pitch P2 is smaller than the pitch P1. Due to such a configuration of the invention that an arrangement pitch of the data buses DB is reduced on the buffer region, an area allocatable to the other circuit blocks can be secured sufficiently. Thereby, since width expansion and deformation of forms for the circuit blocks can be eliminated, wasted free space is less likely generated, and a chip area can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
