<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt unit capable of regulating the meandering in the width direction of an endless belt without forming a rib on an inner peripheral surface of the endless belt. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer unit 10 is configured such that reinforcement members 46a and 46b for reinforcing an intermediate transfer belt 10e are disposed on both end sides in the belt width direction M of an outer peripheral surface of the intermediate transfer belt 10e, the distance in the belt width direction M from an inside end face of one of the reinforcement members 46a and 46b to an inside end face of another of the reinforcement members 46a and 46b is shorter than the distance in the belt width direction M of an area in which the intermediate transfer belt 10e abuts on a driving roller 10f, a tension roller 10h, and a counter roller 10g, and the distance in belt width direction M from an outside end face of one of the reinforcement members 46a and 46b to an outside end face of another of the reinforcement members 46a and 46b is longer than the distance in the belt width direction M of an area in which the intermediate transfer belt 10e abuts on a driving roller 10f, a tension roller 10h, and a counter roller 10g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
