<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for a molten metal transfer passage having both resistances of the heat resistance and the vibration resistance in which any vibration or displacement can be absorbed even when the transfer passage of the molten metal is subjected to the vibration or the displacement, and the transfer passage can withstand the high temperature of the molten metal, while leakage of the molten metal hardly occurs thereby. <P>SOLUTION: A conveying passage surrounding a passage of molten metal is formed of a packing material 17 which is formed by covering graphite around a core formed of metallic wire, and the packing materials 17 are stacked so as to be superposed by a plurality of layers in the longitudinal direction of the conveying passage. A cylindrical packing part formed of these packing materials 17 is held by a pair of flanges 16, 16 for pipe connection which are formed of heat-resistant ceramic. The outer side of the packing part consisting of stacked packing materials 17 is covered with a stainless steel-made bellows 20, and both ends of the bellows 20 are fixed to the flanges 16, 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
