PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for effectively preventing secondary utilization of contents preserved in an external storage device capable of coping with a plurality of content reproduction devices.

SOLUTION: The information processor comprises: external storage devices 14 and 15 for storing storage medium identification information including a vendor ID, a product ID and a serial number intrinsic to a device and content encrypted data; a nonvolatile storage device 7 for storing authentication information for decrypting the content encrypted data and one or more pieces of device identification information; and a central processing unit 5 for comparing the storage medium identification information read from the external storage devices 14 and 15 with the one or more pieces of device identification information stored in the nonvolatile storage device 7, and on condition that the vendor ID and the product ID match and number information of a prescribed digit position in the serial number matches, decrypting the content encrypted data stored in the external storage device 15 by using the authentication information stored in the nonvolatile storage device 7.
