<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery and a lithium ion battery capable of eliminating degradation in characteristics of a battery even when safety is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: Annular concaves 39, 59 with a center at output terminal parts 37, 57 are respectively formed on current collectors 35, 55 which are included in a positive electrode current collector 11 and a negative electrode current collector 13, respectively. The annular concaves 39, 59 are provided with a plurality of through holes 41 for ventilation.
