<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission apparatus capable of surely transmitting a plurality of pieces of data with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission circuit transmits a header pulse signal of which the signal length is twice a reference time and has a predetermined pulse period as well as a continuous pulse pause period which is lower than the reference time, by way of a single signal line. After that, a plurality of data pulse signals are transmitted continuously, of which the signal length is the reference time and has a pulse period corresponding to data and a pulse pause period before/after the pulse period. A micro computer receives the pulse signal transmitted from a transmission circuit by way of a single signal line. The header pulse signal is recognized based on the pulse pause time from the received pulse signal. A plurality of pieces of data are acquired based on the pulse period of the pulse signal after the header pulse signal. A plurality of pieces of data can be transmitted/received by way of a single signal line. A plurality of circuits are not required to be provided for each data as in the conventional case.
