<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent drift of fuel in a vessel 1 of a desulfurizer (desulfurization agent layer 2), and to effectively use the substantially entire region of the desulfurization agent layer 2. <P>SOLUTION: The desulfurizer includes: a longitudinally disposed cylindrical vessel 1; a desulfurization agent layer 2 of a desulfurization agent packed into the vessel 1; a heater 3 disposed in the central part of the desulfurization agent layer 2; and a plurality of partition walls 4 arranged radially from the heater 3. The partition walls 4 partition the desulfurization agent layer 2 in the vessel 1 into a plurality of parallel fuel passages 5. The desulfurizer has a plurality of fuel inlets 7 for introducing fuel into a bottom part in the vessel 1 and a fuel outlet 8 for taking out desulfurized fuel from an upper part in the vessel 1. The fuel inlets 7 correspond to the plurality of fuel passages 5, respectively. The partition walls 4 function also as heat transfer fins which transfer the heat of the heater 3 to the outer peripheral side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
