<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a polarizing plate at low cost while preventing a pore defect from being generated in an adhesive layer when laminating an optical film to a polarizing film via an adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a polarizing plate 4 by laminating an optical film 2 onto a polarizing film 1 via an adhesive includes the following steps (A)-(D): (A) applying the adhesive to the optical film 2 using a coater 10 having coating thickness control means of the adhesive; (B) measuring the thickness of the film before and after the adhesive applying step using two spectral interference film thickness meters 14 and 15 utilizing a spectral interferometry in which a spectroscopic wavelength is within the range exceeding 800nm, to thereby obtain the thickness of the applied adhesive based on a difference therebetween; (C) superposing the polarizing film 1 on the adhesive surface of the optical film 2 and pressing it with nip rolls 20 and 21; and (D) controlling the coating thickness control means when the measured thickness X of the adhesive is different by 5% or more from a preset thickness Y. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
