<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration device and a calibration method for a hydraulic shovel capable of improving accuracy in positional detection of a working point and reducing calibration operation time. <P>SOLUTION: A calibration device for a hydraulic shovel is a device for calibrating a parameter in the hydraulic shovel. A current position calculation section of a hydraulic shovel calculates a current position of a working point included in a work tool based on a plurality of parameters indicating dimensions and swing angles of a boom, an arm and a bucket. A calibration device for a hydraulic shovel comprises: an input section 63; a first calibration calculation section 65c; and a second calibration calculation section 65d. The input section 63 is a portion where first working point position information indicating coordinates of the working point at a plurality of positions measured by an external measuring device is input.
