<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white organic electroluminescent element which is a multiunit element capable of achieving high-luminance emission essential in a light source used for illumination, is suppressed in luminance deterioration and has long life. <P>SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element is formed by including: a transparent electrode 1; a first light emitting unit 7 including a blue fluorescent light emitting layer 2 containing a blue fluorescent light emitting material; an intermediate layer 9; a second light emitting unit 8 including a red phosphorescent light emitting layer 4 containing a red phosphorescent light emitting material and a green phosphorescent light emitting layer 5 containing a green phosphorescent light emitting material; and a reflective electrode 6. The first light emitting unit 7 and the second light emitting unit 8 are laminated via the intermediate layer 9. A film thickness (tR) of the red phosphorescent light emitting layer 4 and a film thickness (tG) of the green phosphorescent light emitting layer 5 satisfy a relation of 5×(tR)≤(tG). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
