<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter detection device capable of accurately detecting a foreign matter even under a low SNR environment. <P>SOLUTION: The foreign matter detection device comprises a threshold setting part 11 for acquiring the maximum reflection intensity value I<SB POS="POST">imax</SB>and the minimum reflection intensity value I<SB POS="POST">imin</SB>among reflection intensity values I<SB POS="POST">i,j</SB>of respective pixels outputted from a three-dimensional image capturing device 1 before starting foreign matter detection processing to the pixel units of the same vertical direction component of a three-dimensional image, setting the maximum reflection intensity value I<SB POS="POST">imax</SB>to an upper limit threshold TH<SB POS="POST">UP</SB>, and setting the minimum reflection intensity value I<SB POS="POST">imin</SB>to a lower limit threshold TH<SB POS="POST">LOW</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
