<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printer that can highly accurately and easily adjust the position of a thermal head with respect to a platen. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer printer P includes a thermal transfer unit 10 transferring the image of ink to transfer paper, in such a manner that the transfer paper is held between the thermal head 2 and the platen 4 together with an ink ribbon and a current is applied to the heating element of the thermal head 2 to give a heat quantity to the ink of the ink ribbon. The thermal transfer printer P includes a base 20 to which the thermal head 2 and the platen 4 are fixed to be opposed to each other. The thermal head 2 is attached to the base 20 via a moving mechanism part 30 and the moving mechanism part 30 includes a first moving mechanism part can vertically moving the thermal head 2 and a pressing force adjusting mechanism part for adjusting pressing force of the thermal head 2 with respect to the platen 4, according to the movement amount of the first moving mechanism part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
