<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element whose life characteristics including deterioration in luminance and increase in driving voltage can be improved while enhancing luminous efficiency, and to provide a display device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: An organic layer 14 comprising, in the following order, a hole supply layer 14A (a hole injection layer 14a and a hole transport layer 14b), a light-emitting layer 14B, and an electron transport layer 14C containing an arylpyridine derivative is laminated on an anode 13, and a cathode 15 is formed on the organic layer 14 to obtain the organic electroluminescent element. The electron transport layer 14C is formed so as to have a thickness greater than that of the hole supply layer 14A, thereby adjusting the amount of holes and electrons to be injected into the light-emitting layer 14B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
