<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve easiness to use by suppressing occurrence of a time-out. <P>SOLUTION: In an automatic transaction device 1, counting means 6 counts and obtains the number of times of occurrence of a time-out of a transaction screen corresponding to a transaction that screen selection means 5 selects according to operation input by a user, and time extension means 9 extends a time-out time of a transaction screen which is large in number of times of occurrence.
