<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having a configuration in which a deformation of a recording medium caused by presence of a non-printed portion can be prevented even when drying by a heating process is applied to the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of heaters are juxtaposed in a conveyance direction of a recording medium. When a recording medium which is provided on a conveyance means after printing is subjected to a drying process, controlling of heating by the plurality of heaters is performed on the basis of image data whereby the printing is performed on the recording medium, and consequently different heating quantities are applied to a printed portion and a non-printed portion, respectively. Therefore, it is possible to prevent evaporation of water from the non-printed portion so that deformation of the recording medium can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
