FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to respiratory protective equipment for protecting a person from chemical substances. The adsorbent for a compound filter contains activated carbon, lithium chloride, calcium chloride, calcium oxychloride, as well as chlorides, carbonates, oxides and hydroxides of potassium and/or sodium. Said ingredients are deposited on activated carbon obtained from nut shells and/or fruit seeds. The ingredients are in the following ratio (wt %): potassium chlorides and oxychlorides with respect to potassium chloride 8-11; lithium chloride 9-12; chlorides, carbonates, oxides and hydroxides of potassium and/or sodium with respect to metal 0.6-3.1; activated carbon from nut shells and/or fruit seeds - the balance. The disclosed adsorbent is used as a first layer of the charge of a compound filter which contains hopcalite in the second layer. The housing of the compound filter is further equipped with an anti-dust plug and a connecting element in form of a neck or a top swage.
