FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of pull rolls for glass sheets production. Proposed roll has cylindrical body from silicon dioxide with outer surface, lengthwise axis and opposite ends, multiple pull strips made from no-dusting material, each being clamped between outer face plate and inner face plate. Note here that outer face plate is secured to said body by external retainer while inner face plate is secured thereto by internal retainer. Note also that external retainer is composed of the following elements: element with inclined surface engaging with outer face plate inner surface and second surface to enter body recess. Note that said recess has a gap to prevent extraction of retainer from said recess. It has also fixture molded thereto and made from fused quartz. ^ EFFECT: high-temperature roll. ^ 11 cl, 6 dwg
