Process for preparing composition of alcohol ester of linear 6-26C monocarboxylic acid and glycerin, comprises reacting fatty substance of plant or animal origin with 1-18C aliphatic monoalcohol, in the presence of solid hydride based heterogeneous catalyst with organic-inorganic mixed matrix comprising metal ions or polyhedron of metal ions connected between them by at least a polyfunctionalized organic ligand (bidentate).
