The method involves forming a set of conductive tracks (21) that extend into a tactile detection area. The tracks are deposited on a dielectric material substrate (20) e.g. flexible film, where the tracks have free ends and connection ends to an interface connector. An insulating material layer is deposited on the tracks except on a portion of the free ends. A set of active tracks (24) is deposited on the insulating material layer, where the active tracks have junction portions (24a) in electrical contact with the free ends of the conductive tracks. An independent claim is also included for a matrix tactile sensor.
