PURPOSE: A semiconductor integrated circuit and an operating method thereof are provided to prevent the deterioration of a variable resistor by blocking an unnecessary current which is not used for changing the resistance of the variable resistor. CONSTITUTION: A variable resistor varies resistance according to a current flowing in the variable resistor. A current supply unit controls a current in response to a control signal. A control signal generating unit(120) generates a control signal by sensing the change of the resistance. A current sink unit(130) sinks a current in response to an input signal. |
