PURPOSE: A temperature compensating apparatus of a preamplifier for a radiation monitoring system in a nuclear power plant is provided to compensate errors of an output property due to the temperature variation of a signal cable which connects a radiation detector and the preamplifier. CONSTITUTION: A detector(100) includes a scintillator detector(101), an inner temperature sensor(103), and an optical pulse radiation light emitting diode(104). The pulse radiation light emitting diode emits an optical pulse for correcting errors due to a temperature variation. A preamplifier(200) amplifies and outputs a radiation detection signal detected from a photo multiplier tube(102) and includes a high voltage control unit(210), an LED pulse detector(220), and a radiation pulse amplifier(230). A multi channel analyzer(300) analyzes the detection signal according to nuclide and transmits a pulse type signal to a radiation counter(400).
