PURPOSE: A portable media player and a docking station for receiving and storing digital broadcasting content using the same are provided to connect the media player to the docking station, thereby easily storing media content and playing the stored media content without respect to time and/or a place. CONSTITUTION: A tuner connecting unit(340) is connected to a docking station which provides external media content through a docking connector unit(125). A media player control unit(300) is connected to the tuner connecting unit to receive and play the external medial content from the docking station. An output unit(350) outputs the medial content by the media player control unit. The media player control unit has unique identification information for connecting with the docking station.
